The story behind FOREST

The FOREST collection was created from a deep admiration for the natural world and a desire to bring its quiet beauty into the home.

But this collection is about more than simply being inspired by the forest.

It is about the way we look at nature.

Nature does not need to be perfect to be beautiful.

A tree does not need to grow perfectly straight.

A leaf does not need to have a flawless shape.

A stone does not need to be smooth.

A forest does not need to be controlled or made uniform.

Nature is beautiful precisely because it is alive, changing, diverse, and imperfect.

Every mark, irregularity, asymmetry, and natural variation is part of its identity.

The FOREST collection was created as a reminder to look more carefully at the world around us.

To notice beauty in what is natural.

To understand that perfection is not the only form of beauty.

And to remember that the natural world does not exist only for us to admire.

It needs our care.

The forests, trees, mountains, rivers, and every living part of the world around us need to be protected and preserved as they are.

Through this collection, I want to celebrate the beauty of nature in its natural form — and encourage us to become more attentive to the world we are a part of.

Because perhaps the more beauty we learn to see in nature, the more carefully we will learn to treat it.

The colour of the forest

The characteristic colour of the FOREST collection is created through the interaction between the natural properties of the clay and the firing process.

The deep olive and forest-inspired tone is not simply painted onto the surface.

The material undergoes a transformation in the kiln.

The heat reveals and changes the natural qualities of the clay, creating a deep and complex surface.

The result is a colour with depth and natural variation — inspired by the tones of the forest.

Just as no two leaves, stones, or trees in nature are exactly the same, no two pieces in the FOREST collection are completely identical.

FOREST was created for a family of four.

The collection includes 26 handmade ceramic pieces, designed to create a complete and harmonious table setting.

Every piece has its own purpose while remaining part of a unified visual language.

The collection was created for:

High-quality German clay

The FOREST collection is created using high-quality German clay, selected for its technical characteristics and ability to withstand high-temperature firing.

The collection is fired at approximately 1250°C.

This process helps create a strong and durable ceramic body suitable for everyday use.

The tableware is created to become part of real life — not simply to be displayed.

FOREST is:

• dishwasher safe;
• suitable for everyday use;
• suitable for use in the oven.

Handmade in numerous stages

Every piece in the FOREST collection passes through numerous stages of manual work.

The process begins with the preparation of the clay and continues through forming, refining, drying, firing, finishing, surface treatment, and final quality control.

Each piece is created and inspected by hand.

The process includes:

• preparing the clay;
• forming each piece;
• refining the shape;
• smoothing and finishing the surface;
• controlled drying;
• individual inspection;
• first firing;
• manual preparation;
• application of the final surface treatment;
• high-temperature firing;
• final inspection and quality control.

The process requires time.

Ceramics cannot be rushed.

The material needs time to dry.

The kiln needs time to heat and cool.

And every stage influences the final result.

This is why each FOREST piece retains the character of a handmade object.

Every piece is unique

FOREST is handmade.

This means that every piece carries subtle differences in:

• form;
• texture;
• surface;
• colour;
• natural variations in the material.

These details are part of the identity of the collection.

The aim is not to create objects that look mechanically identical.

The aim is to create a harmonious collection in which every individual piece still retains its own character.

A truly limited family collection

The FOREST collection is limited to 10 families worldwide.

The same principle applies to the BIRCH collection.

Only 10 families around the world will have the opportunity to acquire this limited family collection.

The collection is not intended to be produced endlessly or made available to an unlimited number of customers.

Each family becomes part of a very limited circle of owners.

A family collection that can grow with your family

The family set can be created for any number of people.

The collection can be ordered according to the size of your family.

But the most important part of this limited concept is that the collection can continue to grow only within the family that originally acquired it.

If, over time, a new family is formed within the family — for example, if children grow up and create their own families — additional pieces can be created specifically for them.

In this way, the collection can continue through generations.

The original family acquires the collection.

And over time, new pieces can be added for the next generation of that same family.
